As part of the “Inclusive and Advanced Education for Vulnerable Children and Youth” project, funded by the Swiss government, equipment for a computer lab was purchased and the classroom was renovated at a boarding school for orphans.
Computer skills are highly valued in today’s world.
People who don’t learn computer technology are missing out on a lot. Using interactive equipment, projectors, and virtual assistants like Alice allows them to develop their creative abilities (music, drawing, graphics, and so on) or simply make everyday life easier (searching for information online, printing documents, typing). Understanding the basics of using a computer and the internet also includes knowledge of security rules, which helps protect against cyberthreats.
However, to do all this, you first need to master basic computer skills. The equipment purchased for the class is aimed at developing students’ skills in using modern digital technologies, applying them in everyday life, using personal computers to complete assignments, search for information, communicate online, and send emails.
