In today’s world, where financial stability plays a key role, the ability to manage your funds wisely becomes a vital skill at all stages of a person’s life. Understanding this need, within the framework of the project: “Inclusive and in-depth education for vulnerable children and youth”, which is financed by the Government of Switzerland, a unique financial literacy training was organized for high school students from 2 boarding schools. The trainings were held in the buildings of the target boarding schools.

The training brought together 40 young people (including 21 girls) interested in improving their knowledge in the field of financial literacy. The training program was developed taking into account current trends and included the following topics:
- Basics of financial planning: participants learned how to create a personal budget, set financial goals and develop strategies to achieve them.
- Investing: trainers talked about various types of investments, their risks and profitability, and also shared practical advice on forming an investment portfolio.
- Lending: participants received information on how to choose the right credit products, avoid debt burden and manage their credit obligations wisely.
- Financial security: trainers talked about ways to protect against fraud, cybercrime and other financial risks.
The training paid special attention to practical exercises and analysis of real cases. Participants had the opportunity to apply the knowledge they had gained in practice, discuss their financial situations and receive individual recommendations from trainers.
Feedback from training participants indicates its high effectiveness. Many noted that they had received valuable knowledge and skills that would help them improve their financial situation and achieve their goals.
“I have long wanted to understand investment issues, but I did not know where to start,” shared one of the participants. “The training helped me structure my knowledge and gave me confidence that I could manage my finances wisely.”
The organizers of the training expressed hope that the knowledge they received would help participants make informed financial decisions and ensure a stable future for them outside the walls of boarding schools.
These trainings were part of a series of trainings on entrepreneurship that will be organized in the future. The project plans to conduct the following trainings: “Marketing and Market Research” and “Business Development, Motivation for Self-Realization” to help young people improve their financial literacy.
