Project Participant Registration Completed Using QR Code Technology

As part of the project implementation, the registration of beneficiaries was successfully completed using a modern QR code–based digital registration system. The introduction of this technology significantly simplified the application process, improved the accuracy of data collection, and enabled the efficient establishment of a comprehensive database of participants for the upcoming training programme.

Throughout the registration campaign, project specialists conducted extensive outreach and awareness-raising activities across the target districts of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO). Prospective participants received detailed guidance on the registration process, eligibility requirements, and project objectives, while practical assistance was provided to those completing the electronic application forms. Particular attention was given to supporting young people with limited digital literacy, ensuring equal access to participation for all eligible applicants.

The use of QR codes considerably reduced registration time, eliminated the need for manual data entry, and minimized the risk of technical errors during the creation of the participant database. This digital approach improved the efficiency of data processing and strengthened the overall quality and reliability of participant records.

By the end of the registration campaign, 594 young people from the five target districts and the city of Khorog had registered for the project, representing 112 percent of the original target of 530 participants. The strong response demonstrates the high level of interest among rural youth in the project, the relevance of the planned training programme, and the effectiveness of the community outreach campaign.

The highest number of registrations was recorded in Rushan District with 148 participants, followed by Shughnon District with 141 participants, Vanj District with 122 participants, Ishkashim District with 117 participants, and the city of Khorog with 66 participants.

The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) is currently conducting the verification and validation of all registered applicants. Upon completion of this process, the final list of project beneficiaries will be confirmed, training groups will be established, and the next phase of project implementation will commence, including specialized training sessions, practical field activities, and continued technical support for young farmers.

The successful completion of the registration process represents an important milestone in project implementation and confirms the strong interest of rural youth in acquiring modern agricultural knowledge, strengthening their professional skills, and adopting innovative approaches to agricultural production.
