The unique project started in Republic of Tajikistan financed by HelpAgeInternational and British Embassy in Republic of Tajikistan support to aged population in Zafarabad district. The project duration is 12 months is carried out by International Charity Public Organization Jovid started in April 2011, the project title is «Preparation to the emergency situations and disaster risks reduction for aged in Tajikistan and Kirgizstan ».
The project plans to reduce the level of poverty of involved into the project 150 aged in Zafarabad district.
The first phase under the project is organization of the conference on district level concerning the project goal and objectives. The next phases will be: establishment of 10 groups (15 members in each group), to conduct trainings regarding nutrition of aged people; to install solar panels in public places; to construct tunnel greenhouses to secure aged people with vitamins in autumn and winter time; to distribute clothes and blankets and to provide polyethylene to cover windows in winter time.
