In January 2016 International Charity Public Organization «Jovid» started implementation of one of the components of the project «Enhancement of livelihoods through adaptation to climate change in Kirgizstan and Tajikistan», financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) Gmbh.

The project will be carried out in Gonchi district till the end of December 2016 with possible continuation for the period of 2017 – 2018.

Under the project 70 farmers will be involved into the process of agricultural knowledge distribution, project plans to contribute into poverty level alleviation through increase of potato yield.

The first step under the project will be selection of agronomists on the spot and consulting them. The next steps under the project will be following: to select 70 farmers; to conduct needs assessment among selected farmers, to establish 5 Demo Plots (hereafter DP); to consult farmers regarding complex mineral fertilizer use; to organize activity to distribute complex mineral fertilizer and insecticide to protect the yield of selected farmers (to conclude the agreements, to collect 30% of means) to elaborate and to distribute booklets concerning complex mineral fertilizer use (nitroammophoska) and insecticide (actara); to elaborate the schedule to introduce fertilizer and to distribute fertilizer among the selected farmers; to conduct monitoring of sowing and to render consulting services; to organize and to conduct 10 Field days based on 5 DP; to carry out phonological observations of cultivated potato on DP  and to record observations in special registers according to elaborated plan; to collect the rest of 70% means of complex mineral fertilizer and insecticide; to prepare narrative and financial reports.
