In September 2006, Khujand Regional UNDP Office announced tender for the sub project implementation: «Establishment and Support of Field Farm Schools and Improvement of rural consultants knowledge» in Isfara and B Gafurov regions. ICPO «Jovid» participated in tender and won it. In October 2006 ICPO «Jovid» signed contract with Khujand Regional UNDP Office regarding given project implementation in target jamoats «Chorkuh», «Surh» in Isfara region and «Ovchi-kalacha», «Kustakuz» in B.Gafurov region.
It was planned to carry out following:
- To elaborate training modules on agriculture directions;
- To elaborate the schedule of conducting trainings;
- To conduct trainings on different topics;
- To establish Demo plots (2) and to conduct Field days for the farmers;
- To manage agricultural consultants activity during the project implementation (till September 30 2007)
In the framework of the given program in November 2006 basic survey was conducted among house holdings in target jamoats. About 80 families were interviewed including farmers, teachers, and leaders in kishlaks. The attention was paid to private farm lands and so called “president lands”.
